This week we discussed:
Science- In science, we are wrapping up Weather, Climate, Atmosphere, and Water Cycle. We are finishing up and have completed many projects, including our Weather logs, Wind Vanes, Water Cycle Illustrations, Experiments, and so much more.
Math- In math, we are comparing Units of Measurements. We have begun measuring and solving for the area and perimeter. We are using tape measures to measure and solve for the area and perimeter of objects found around the classroom.

Next week Tuesday, October 17, we will be going to our Myrtle Beach Field Study. Students may bring a bag with supplies and/or their phones, however, they will be responsible for anything they bring with them.
Next week Thursday, October 19, Parent- Teacher Conferences will be held here at Killian. Mrs. Mitchell and Ms. Gadsden will meet with parents together, from 12:30 - 5:00. If you have not signed up yet, please go to the "Parent-Teacher Conferences" post and follow the instructions.

As a reminder, the Myrtle Beach field study forms have been sent out. Please have it signed and returned, by Monday, October 16. Your child will not be able to attend, if the permission form has not been returned. All payments should be done online. Also yellow progress reports are sent out on Thursdays, and will continue to be sent out on Thursdays. Please sign and return the form, indicating that you have seen it. When returning the Progress form, please make sure to return graded work as well. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me at any point, and I will get back with you as soon as I can.
