Science
This week we will continue our unit on Light and Sound. Students will 
construct scientific arguments to support the claim that white light is made 
up of different colors. We will be doing hands on activities in class to 
support this claim and understand that the colors in the spectrum are 
ROYGBIV- Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet.



Week of April 16th-20th
Please continue to bring in recycled boxes, tissue rolls,
cans, bottles, and cardboard. We will be creating instruments
in class to determine how sound changes from one
object to another with pitch and volume.

Students will complete their Vocabulary Flipbooks on Tuesday. 
We will be doing hands on activities to determine how we see light 
as well as how the vibration of sound changes with different materials. 
On Friday, students will be taking a Mastery Connect Assessment on 
what we have covered in Light and Sound thus far.

Science-
This week in class, students will continue working on our unit of Plants and Animals. We will be focusing on Plant and Animal Adaptations. In class, students will continue to work on and complete parts 1-4 of their Animal Project. The final portion (at home portion) of their Animal Projects are due to class on Wednesday March 21st. Students will present their projects to the class on Thursday/Friday of this week. All research information should be printed out and brought to class with their project and rubric.

Science

Students are currently working on the in-class portions of their Animal Project.
We will continue collecting data and putting our information together this week.
Students will be completing the final phase of this project at home. Students will
be given the rubric for the at home portion this week.
