Science-
This week in class, students will continue working on our unit of Plants and Animals. We will be focusing on Plant and Animal Adaptations. In class, students will continue to work on and complete parts 1-4 of their Animal Project. The final portion (at home portion) of their Animal Projects are due to class on Wednesday March 21st. Students will present their projects to the class on Thursday/Friday of this week. All research information should be printed out and brought to class with their project and rubric.

acknowledge their homework. Thursdays, weekly progress reports
are sent home, please remember to sign the yellow form and have your
child return it with all attached work.

This week in Math we will continue to work with Fractions. Students will
focus on estimating each sum or difference to the nearest half or whole
number by rounding, Show how to make 1 whole, and use Number Bonds
to add and subtract fractions.

Science

Students are currently working on the in-class portions of their Animal Project.
We will continue collecting data and putting our information together this week.
Students will be completing the final phase of this project at home. Students will
be given the rubric for the at home portion this week.

Science

Students will use their Science Interactive Notebooks
to take notes on the different parts of a plant.
Students will then use Google Drawing to draw
and create their own design of all the parts of a plant.
Students need to identify and label the following;

·    Secondary Roots
·    Main Roots
·    Stem
·    Leaf Stalk
·    Leaf
·    Flower Bud
Students will need to list what each part of the plant does.
Title should be “Parts of a Plant”
