The standard for 4th grade requires students to memorize multiplication facts from 1 x 1 through 11 x 11. Please take time with your child nightly to study these facts with them. Students can create their own flash cards, or the Dollar Stores sell them for a dollar as well. Currently we are working on multi-digit multiplication in class and we will be moving on to division shortly thereafter. Students who are struggling now will only struggle more as we continue on with new strategies.

We will begin this 9 weeks with Stars and the Solar System. Students will exemplify the location and order of the planets as they orbit the Sun and the main composition of the planets. Students will need to know the names, location, and order of the planets. Students will begin their daily journal observations of the phases of the Moon.
